Family Sponsorship Program
The Family Sponsorship Program provides ongoing, relational support to families affected by ALS who are facing facing long-term and evolving needs. Through this program, Touched By ALS partners with a family to help cover essential household and care-related expenses, offering stability, dignity, and peace of mind during an incredibly difficult journey.
Purpose
ALS is not only medically devastating- it is financially relentless. As the disease progresses, families often experience reduced income, increased expenses, and long-term financial instability. The Family Sponsorship Program exists to provide consistent, predictable support, allowing families to focus on care, safety, and time together rather than constant financial crisis.
Application & Review Process
1 Application Submission
- Family completes Monthly Expense Documentation Form
- Supporting documentation provided
2 Review & Approval
- Applications reviewed by Touched By ALS leadership
- Approval based on need, sustainability, and available funds
3 Ongoing Check-Ins
- Monthly review to reassess needs and continuation of support
Sustainability
The Family Sponsorship Program is supported through:
- Individual and corporate sponsorships
- Healthcare system and foundation grants
- Annual fundraising events
- Designated donor gifts
